I woke up slow today.

No alarm, just the sound of the city starting below the hill.

Before heading out for a walk in Haeundae for coffe

I ran the water in the hinoki tub on the first floor.

Just enough for two person to sit, stretch a little.
The smell of wood shows up as the water warms.
That part always feels calm.

I sat there doing nothing.
Just steam, the sound of water hitting wood,
and that soft morning light coming through the window.

No music. No phone near me.
The room was quiet, just a bit of wind sneaking in from the side window.

The sound of water flowing and the smell of Hinoki made my body more relaxed.
For a second, I heard a bus passing somewhere down the hill.
That kind of sound feels far but familiar.

After a while I got out, slowly.
The air felt cooler, and the floor warm under my feet.
I made a small cup of tea, nothing special — just something mild I like in the morning.

The steam from the cup looked the same as the one from the tub,
but the sound was different.
Tea makes smaller sounds.

I sat by the window, watching the water on the glass fade.
That was enough.
Maybe that’s the reason I like mornings here —
they don’t ask for much.

After a cup of tea, I went to Haridan Street for breakfast.

After a cup of tea, I walked down to Haeridan Street for breakfast.
Our guesthouse sits quietly above the hill, about a 15–20 minute walk from Haeundae Beach.
If you ever want to find it, here’s the map for reference.

Morning light, hinoki scent, and a quiet hillside view —
this is where most of my slow mornings begin.
