Quiet Hill Steps Near Haewoonjeongsa temple , Small Pause AbovE Haeundae
I walked a short way up the hill near Haeridan-gil today.
It’s not a long climb, but the sound fades faster than you’d think.
Tall buildings drop out of the mix, like someone lowered the city’s volume.
Only the pine branches respond when a small breeze passes through.
By late morning, the air felt cooler than street level.
Not dramatic—just enough to notice if you stop for a second.
Stone steps under pine branches
The stairs pull you upward at a slow pace.
Shadows move across the stone like a quiet clock.
Through the trees you can catch the edge of the skyline,
softer from this angle.
Blue sky framed by needles
People walk below on Haeridan-gil,
but their voices never reach this corner.
The sky breaks into small shapes between the branches,
like the city is taking a long breath.
Lantern line above the rooftops
A few minutes higher,
there’s a brunch street and a forest path toward Dongbaekseom.
The Marine City towers look further away here—
less sharp, more relaxed.
I didn’t take many photos,
but the air felt slow in a way that’s hard to explain.
Maybe you’ll feel it too on a morning without a plan.
Save this quiet spot for later.
Busan has louder days.
If you walk down from this hillside, there’s a small brunch street worth trying.
