If you have limited time in Busan but still want to experience the coastline, this half-day route along East Busan works efficiently.

This route follows a natural flow without backtracking and combines a seaside temple, coastal walking paths, and a dining area.

1. Haedong Yonggungsa Temple (Start Point)

Location: 86 Yonggung-gil, Gijang-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan

Recommended stay: 30–50 minutes
Parking: Available on-site (crowded on weekends)


Haedong Yonggungsa is a rare seaside cliff temple located directly facing the East Sea.
From the entrance, visitors walk down a long stairway passing symbolic stone statues before reaching the main temple area.

The contrast between the ocean, cliffs, and temple structures makes this one of Busan’s most photographed locations.


Tips

  • Wear comfortable shoes due to stairs and slopes

  • Weekends after 10 a.m. tend to be crowded

  • Best visiting time: 8–9 a.m.









2. Cheongsapo Coastal Walk (20 minutes transfer)

Travel time:

Haedong Yonggungsa → Cheongsapo: approx. 20 minutes by car


Cheongsapo is ideal for a short coastal walk.
Since the development of the Blue Line Park railway path, the area has become especially pleasant for walking along the sea.


The scenery combines blue sea, cliffs, pine trees, and the passing coastal train, making it easy to capture good photos from almost anywhere.






Parking tip
Set navigation to Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory.
Parking areas are nearby, and the observatory is a 5–10 minute walk.

Note: Winds are stronger in the afternoon; be cautious near cliff edges.



3. Haeridan-gil for Lunch & Break (10 minutes transfer)

Haeridan-gil works well as the final stop for meals and rest.
The area is known for compact streets filled with independent cafés and restaurants, including several places listed in the Michelin Guide (varies by year).

Although some redevelopment is ongoing, the area remains convenient due to its dense concentration of dining options.
