Complete Cheongsapo Walking Route in Haeundae, Busa From the Sea Train to Daritdol Observatory

What Is Cheongsapo?

Cheongsapo is a small coastal village located between Mipo and Songjeong in Haeundae, Busan.

Rather than a typical tourist attraction, it feels more like a walking landscape where the sea, railway, breakwater, cafés, and cliffs connect naturally in one flow.

Compared to Haeundae Beach, Cheongsapo is quieter and less crowded.
At the same time, it offers open sea views and a comfortable walking layout, which is why it has become an increasingly popular travel route in Busan.

Cheongsapo Walking Route (One-Way Loop)

Because Cheongsapo includes gentle slopes, following the route order makes the walk much easier.

Cheongsapo Station → Coastal Railway → Twin Lighthouses → Breakwater → Café Area → Daritdol Observatory

Walking time: about 60–70 minutes
With photos and café stops: half-day is enough.

Slam Dunk Photo Spot in Front of the Public Parking Area

Near the Cheongsapo public parking area, the road scene reminds many visitors of the opening scene from the anime Slam Dunk.

The ocean in front, power poles, railway line, and wide sky overlap into a simple but cinematic composition.

Depending on the angle, the scene looks like a still frame from an animation.

Sunset is the best time to photograph this spot, when the sky and sea colors blend softly.

Cheongsapo Coastal Railway

The Sea Train entering Cheongsapo along the coastline is one of the most iconic views in the area.

The distance between the railway and the sea is very short, making it a popular photo and video point.

Like many places in Cheongsapo, the light becomes softer and more balanced near sunset.

Cafés Near the Railway View

  • Di
Art Coffee: A small roastery café near the railway

  • Simmian: Hanok-style café with matcha desserts and train views

Cheongsapo Twin Lighthouses

The white East Breakwater Lighthouse and the red South Breakwater Lighthouse stand facing each other, forming what visitors call the “Cheongsapo Twin Lighthouses.”

Walking down to the breakwater allows you to hear the waves directly and feel the sea air closely.

Because the area is not crowded, it is suitable for slow walking and quiet observation.

Cafés Near the Lighthouses

  • H.US: Modern café with full ocean-view windows

  • Libertà Cheongsapo: Bakery café with sea views

Breakwater Walk

At the end of the breakwater, the Cheongsapo village and coastline appear in one wide view.

There are no special facilities here, but the act of walking itself becomes the experience.

Sunlight reflecting on the water, wind from the open sea, and steady wave sounds naturally slow the pace.

This type of coastal walking density is not common in Busan.

Cheongsapo Café Area

Most cafés in Cheongsapo are oriented toward the sea.

  • Terrace cafés facing the ocean

  • Railway-view cafés

  • Small local cafés

Rather than choosing by name, selecting by seat position and view usually gives higher satisfaction.

Frequently visited places include:

  • Rua & Tigre: Wood-fired pizza and large bakery café

  • Cheongsapo Station Café: Renovated 100-year-old hanok

  • Café Rooftop: Terrace photo spot

Daritdol Observatory

Daritdol Observatory is a glass-floor platform built on a coastal cliff.

Below your feet, waves crash against the rocks.
Ahead, the East Sea horizon opens widely.

Many places in Cheongsapo show the sea, but Daritdol Observatory allows you to look down at it as if standing above the water.

This viewpoint feels larger in person than in photos.

Places for Meals

After walking, many visitors finish with seafood or simple restaurants.

Cheongsapo is especially known for grilled clams.

  • Hyangyujae Eommabapsang: Quiet Korean home-style meals

  • Suminine: Long-running clam grill restaurant

  • Dohui Clam Grill: Parking available, pet-friendly

  • Star Villa: Pasta and abalone risotto

Travel Tips

  • Best time: before 10 AM or near sunset

  • Wind can be strong → bring a light jacket

  • Breakwater surfaces can be slippery → wear sneakers

  • Easy to connect with Mipo and Songjeong routes

Routes to Combine

  • Mipo Sea Train

  • Dalmaji Hill cafés

  • Haedong Yonggungsa Temple

  • Haeundae Beach

  • Songjeong Beach

Cheongsapo works best not as a destination, but as a connecting flow between major travel points.

If You Stay in Haeundae

I run a small guesthouse in Haeundae and document local routes that are not widely introduced.

If you prefer quiet, affordable, and walkable locations rather than crowded attractions, this area fits well.

The location near Haeundae and Haeridan-gil makes access to Cheongsapo, Haeundae, and Gwangalli convenient.

(Address omitted here for neutrality in g1 structure.)

Final Summary

Cheongsapo is one of the most balanced coastal walking routes in Busan.

It is not flashy, but it is calm, open, and naturally connected.

If you are planning a Haeundae trip in Busan,
Cheongsapo is a route worth adding to your schedule.
