Busan Day Trip: Haeundae → Gamcheon culture viliage → Songdo Cable Car

Starting Point: Haeundae Hill Stay

I started the day from a small hillside stay near Haeundae. It’s within walking distance to Haeundae Station, so I didn’t need a taxi. The morning pace was slow and simple — cafés opening, a few locals walking, and not many tourists yet.

Stop 1 — Gamcheon Culture Village

Gamcheon was a lot busier than I expected. There seemed to be an event happening that day because there were tourists from everywhere — families, couples, and school trips. Still, the colorful houses, viewpoints, and small alleys made it worth the visit.

One thing worth mentioning — there are stairs. Not extreme, but enough to notice.

How to Get From Gamcheon → Songdo

The route looks complicated on the map, but once you start moving, it’s simple. The bus + short walk combination took about 20–30 minutes. Navigation helps a lot, so just follow that and you’ll get there without issues.

How to get from Gamcheon Culture Village to Songdo Cable Car

  • From Gamcheon Culture Village, walk to the Busan Education Museum stop

  • Take bus 2-2

  • Get off at Chungmu Market (충무시장)

  • Walk about 150m to the Chungmu Intersection stop

  • From there, take any of these buses:
    96 / 30 / 26 / 96-1 / 6 / 71

  • Get off at Amnam-dong Community Center (암남동 주민센터)

  • Walk about 500m to the Songdo Cable Car ticket office

 Stop 2 — Songdo Beach

Songdo feels completely different from Gamcheon. While Gamcheon is compact and colorful, Songdo is open, breezy, and calmer. It’s a good spot to reset your pace and take a break.

Songdo Cable Car (Sky Cruise)

I wasn’t sure if I should ride it at first — mostly because of the price and line — but since it was close to sunset, I decided to go for it. And honestly, it was worth it.

Ticket Prices

Type   Round Trip   One Way
Adult (normal cabin)  17,000 KRW     13,000 KRW
Adult (glass floor cabin)  22,000 KRW     17,000 KRW

The ride isn't long but the view changes gradually — beach, coastline, mountains, then the city lights. It gave the day a clean ending.

Honestly, I wasn’t sure if I should ride it at first, but once the cable car started moving, everything made sense.
The ocean underneath, the quiet views, and the slow movement made it feel like a small break from the busy parts of Busan.
If you come around sunset, it’s even better.

The sun was already gone when I took the cable car back.
Everything felt quieter — fewer people talking, fewer distractions, just the night view and the sea underneath.

After the Ride

Once you get off, there isn’t a huge attraction list — long walk, a coastal path, korea fine tree and a dinosaur playground. If you're expecting a big landmark, you may feel underwhelmed. But as part of this route, it fits well.

 Itinerary Summary

  •  Haeundae Stay

  • Gamcheon Culture Village

  • Bus

  •  Songdo Beach

  •  Cable Car + short walk

It felt natural: activity first, slower pace later.

 Final Thought

A simple route with a good rhythm — exploring, moving, and slowing down by the sea.
